STEM Club Meeting, with Professor Christopher Rose (Brown University)

Date:

Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Location:

Pratt Conference Room

Hi All,

I would like to introduce you to an organization I started last March called STEM Club, a series of monthly workshops focused on addressing the personal and professional needs of Harvard postdocs of color in STEM. Given the wide range of undergraduate, graduate and generic university-wide organizations with similar subject focus, STEM Club fills an important niche in the academic pipeline. For our next workshop next Tues Feb 11, I invite all members of the EIJC to join a ~1hr roundtable 5:30p at Pratt with invited speaker Professor Christopher Rose of Brown (followed by a dinner reserved for the speaker+postdocs). This is a special opportunity to share best practices with a neighboring university with a track record of hiring rare, underrepresented talents such as Profs. Jim Gates and Stephon Alexander.

Professor Rose will be at the ITC visitor's office P-228 next Tues, and those who would like to meet him are welcome to confer his schedule.

Best regards,

Dr. Richard Anantua
